Maybe expensive but amazing!
I recently got some cat stairs for our ageing pet, and I sometimes get up very early for work, leave the light out so I don't wake my wife, and kept banging into the cat stairs. I looked at various luminous tapes, and they all needed "charging" in light. This one is both luminous and reflective. I can't tell which is working more, but I've never had any trouble seeing the cat stairs since I put some tape on it. I put on three pieces, [probably about half an inch wide each, so I've used up a whopping inch-and-a-half off the roll. Someone else wrote about how the thickness of this tape makes it difficult to use on curves; that seems to be true, but I've pushed the edges down a few times, and it sticks fine. The only time I can't see the tape is when I've been in the bathroom with the light on and then turn off the light before emerging. It takes my 73-year-old eyes about 18 seconds to adjust to the dark again, and then I can see it fine.

It glows. It reflects.
This is pretty neat stuff. It is retro-reflective AND Phosphorescent. and it seems to work pretty good.I am kind of into high-quality reflective tape, and have several rolls of various types of SOLAS reflective tape. (SOLAS is a rating for the required reflective materials used to increase visibility on Nautical vessels. Its generally considered the most reflective tape available anywhere.) By my casual observations, this tape seems about as reflective as some of my SOLAS tape. It also does glow, but with less intensity and duration compared some other high-end glowing materials such as military grade used on helmets, etc.I was hoping to cut this Cyflect Tape into 4mm strips and use it on the rims of a bicycle, but found it is not a good application for this product. This tape is rather thick and was not pliable enough to accommodate the slight bend required for the round shape. Nevertheless, it is a neat product, and I'm sure I'll find some other use for it.

Best Safety tape
Highly reflective AND glows bright in the dark, what more can you ask for? This tap is expensive but holds up well to the elements outside. I have USED the crap out of this tape and it has impressed me. I have used outside and inside, and to me, it is worth every penny if you are looking for a safety tape.

Cyalume vs regular vinyl glow tape.
Regular vinyl glow tape is MUCH brighter and glows LONGER. This Cyalume tape is waaaay overpriced. Grab some solas tape and overlay a strip of the regular glow tape or vice versa for better results. Reflective properties of the Cyalume are poor compared to standard reflective tape. I think they are asking too much for this tape in price and features. Two separate tapes together/ overlayed are superior and cheaper.

Excellent product. VERY luminous glow-in-the-dark middle layer
Excellent product. VERY luminous glow-in-the-dark middle layer, with a clear reflective layer on top, heat-pressed down into the hex pattern. The two layers are bonded only on the lines, which are non-reflective. Just to note, the reflective layers of these products only shine when the light is coming from the same direction that you're viewing it, akin to road signs. That quality is offset by the surprisingly bright GitD layer, which is viewable from all angles.Cons: Adhesive backing could be stronger, be forewarned. Does not like to stick to complex curves due to thickness.

Not exceptional but functional
Typical luminosity, better than average reflectivity, made of sturdy & stiff material, has pressure sensitive backing. Note that this tape cannot be used to wrap around tubular objects as it is too stiff and should be applied on flat or slightly curved surfaces. Unknown as to how long the adhesive will hold up indoors or outdoors as only time will tell. For me, it serves its purpose even though it is a little pricey.

EXCELLENT !!
I used this on my Racing Dog Sled as most races are at night. It looks awesome during the day even and really glows like crazy, is also reflective....Highly reflective ! and was very easy to use. Peal and stick and it adheres very well to both the wood stantions and the high impact plastic brush bow and top rails. I will be buying MANY more !!

junk!! not worth the money
The tape does not stick to fabric at all as advertised. They flourescents break down and do not glow after a month. After one ride the strips fell off my jacket and are pretty much useless. They work ok for maybe lighting up a mailbox or something but not for motorcycle riding!
