Q: can we edit sector 0 with these. Also will the mifare app recognise these?

These fobs are encrypted to Mifare Classic standard. The encryption can be broken so you need to think carefully about in which application they can be used. If you use the default keys these tags can be copied in a few seconds. If you use your own keys it might take quite a few minutes, but note this is not likely to be done by someone standing next to you on the train for example. They are ideal to give to yuor office staff to control access to the photocopier. I have used them for a door access system where they are used by club member in conjunction with a 6 digit pin number to get through the main door. This is because I do not care if they can be copied. Think about it - a normal physical key can be copied by any high street locksmith. You would have to copy these tags and know the persons pin number. If the PIN is entered more than 4 times incorrectly the card is disabled. So this is secure enough for us. Many security systems have some kind of vulnerability but that doesn't mean they are useless. You need to consider the context in which these tags are to be used. If serious money or threat to property/persons is at stake then I suggest you get a professional security advisor to help you.

Q: Can you get a similar item where we can change uid/sector0?

Yes, it is possible to get tags/cards of the Mifare Class kind that allow you to rewrite the uid. Google is your friend. See https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mifare-Classic-Card-Changeable-Cards/dp/B00PNPWCGW for example.

Good Value NFC Tags

The media could not be loaded. Bought a pack of these NFC tags as the lock bought only came with two. These tags are good value, nice quality and fairly tough. Very easy to program from the lock bought. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

fobs themselves are fine however our door entry system requires EV1 or EV2 cards these are classics so incompatible.
