PanPastel Artist Pastels by GOLDEN, Pearlescent Colors Set, 6 Color, Professional Artist Pastels, Unique Pan Format (cake-like)

I am new to pan pastels, and I must say they are messy-pastel dust everywhere. But I use these on my screen porch and I can hose it off. But the colors are wonderful!!! I am enjoying these a lot.

Beautiful colors. These pastels are so easy to use with the foam wedges that are included too. I use them to color backgrounds on my finished coloring book pages and not too much powder is needed to cover the areas. After applying the pastel, there isn't too much powder debris that could possibly get all over your work space. The paper I've used it on is a little porous, and the pastel stayed on the paper very well. I have not tried using it on smooth or glossy paper yet. Each individual pastel screws into the bottom of another pastel making a tower which takes up less space when storing. Overall, I'm very please with this product and plan to purchase more colors, as well as recommend to others.

Purchased this pearlescent PanPastel stack after finding such enjoyment with a previous order of the basic colors set. They apply easily with the included applicators, and they blend silky smooth onto sanded art paper (you can even use your fingers to further blend, smudge, spread, and blur section edges together)!My only issue is that the top “Blue” color in the stack arrived broken, so twisting the cap off exposed tons of powdery crumbles - like what would result from a dropped palette of eyeshadow. So perhaps a firmer binding technique for the pearlescent shades could be incorporated into the formulaic ingredients somehow. Otherwise, quite happy with them!

Great quality and perfect for creating blended backgrounds for drawings and for using with adult coloring books

This is a great collection to add on to whatever you already have. The colors really are quite unique and pearlescent. Very unique. But I consider them an add-on once you have some more basic colors. I have a larger set from the same manufacturer and have found them to be very good and consistent. Very happy with these.

The only thing I don't like about these are there so expensive. There so easy to use. I can't believe I just found these. I can't wait till I get all the color's I need.

These pastels are great to work with, very smooth and the color is great. My only complaint is the condition of each container. They should be a solid cake in the container. But each one of the six containers looked as if the boxes had be throw about to see how Hugh they could bounce.They were crumbling and were not solid cakes.
