AngelusAngelus Leather Dye, 3 oz, Turquoise

I discovered that my black shoes were actually white. No shoe polish would cover it so I looked to see if there was such a thing as shoe paint. Angelus showed up as one of the best choices. I had to get a paint stripper first, per the instructions and that’s when I found out for sure my shoes were actually white. I used that and then put the black die on. Cautions in that it is very thin liquid and fills up the little swab that comes with the bottle. So I had too much the first time and it ran everywhere. After that I made sure to get it less wet, but that first swab covered most of the shoe. YouTube video instructed to do about 4 coats so I just did one shoe, then the other, back and forth until done. The black is very shiny and they looked fantastic. The first coat covered all the white. I then applied a shiny top coat and people have asked if my shoes are actually patent. They aren’t, but that do have a very high shine. Look great. Don’t know how long it will last but I’ve worn them for a couple days (after letting them dry for 24 hours between die and top coat and again after top coat. They look great and the only scuff rubbed right off and shined again.

I also got the cleaning kit to prime the leather. They recommend using it (and I agree). I was changing the color from tan to navy. I got black, but I'm very pleased with the result. Remember that the original shoe color is going to affect the results. It is a stain, not paint. I've had no problem with durability. No chipping, no problems getting a good coat of color. The instructions recommend 2 coats. I agree with this. It went on well the first time, but there were some light spots. The second coat took care of it. There is a list of things that you can dye as well, so you will have a further use if you only do one pair of shoes. I would guess that you can get 2 pairs of men's shoes dyed with what is in the bottle with a little left over.

I thought I messed up a pair of my dress shoes by applying too much shoe cream. I was able to strip and redye them dark brown. I would recommend this product. I’m going to try a few other colors.

Used on a faded black leather purse. Worked great, covered in one application.

i used on new brown boots. this is second time i used this product. i used on last boots i bought. last over a year. started seeing some brown on toe of boots. im ruff on them so the leather is torn up . get 2 so u have enuff. 1 is almost enuff for first soak. works grate. this is gonna change color of leather.

This dye is so dark. It didn't apply evenly and after adding a second coat I had more of a purple/black than navy. I ended up throwing out the shoes as they did not end up navy. The original shoe color was dark blue...I was hoping to just get navy as a result.

This product is quite good. I needed some dark brown dye to fix up our leather furniture. I needed very little of this product in order to redo the area that were faded. You have to be very careful with this product spills. would be very difficult to get out of carpet or anything else. It also does drive very quickly. This was a very dark brown.

Worked great for dying a bass body and neck. Easy to use and looks great.

Great products, deep colors and penetration of material. I dyed Timberland Pro workboots and I'm surprised by the results. Dyed brown to black and after 3 months they look as if they were purchased that way. Dyed a canvas hat from tan to Angelus Jade another (hat and shoes) from tan/brown to Oxblood with great results. Used these dyes for years and will buy no other. They are awesome! Not just on leather (although I'm sure they don't recommend other uses) I dye all kinds of material with them.
