cheap and chintzy
At 12 binoculars for $17 I can't say I was surprised that these were cheap and chintzy and falling apart. A few didn't even make it through the actual 5 year old birthday party they were purchased for as favors. You pay for what you get - I wouldn't purchase unless it's for a table decoration but not actual usage.
