Excellent
I've purchased several books on stretching. My flexibility is pretty poor. This book is at the top of the pile. There's not too much science. Just simple instructions as what to do or not to do.The diagrams are simple and very effective. The shaded parts represent what is being stretched. There's a good bit about not over stretching and why you may cause damage. The best of the book is the second half, where it lists stretches for every common sport and the time taken to do all the stretches. There's much more than sports stretches though. There's computer desk, everyday, blue-collar, gardening over 60's, TV and kids stretches (and more too).Overall, if you dont need too much science then this IS the stretching book for you.

Great all round stretching book
Great all round stretching book. It covers stretching from top to toe in a clear and concise way with plenty of diagrams to show you what to do. Happy with my purchase and definitely need to use it more regularly.

Best stretching book ever
Clear, effective, simple exercises that are very well illustrated. When I match the exercises with my daily routine or any exercise, I feel more energetic and I keep my suppleness. This book covers practically all sport activities, so you will not need anything else.It would be great if it would stay open. Perhaps another type of binding for the next edition.

Stretching
This is an excellent book covering a number of sports and muscular problems. I have just started to play a Bb/Ftrombone which is much heavier than my old instrument, unfortunately it has caused me to have pain in my lefthand, arm, and shoulder.Since I have followed the exercisesin this book there has been a great improvement, and I cannow play for longer periods.

Bought this many years ago now and have picked a number of stretching exercises that I do every couple of days to suit my requirements. Am in early 50's now and have a desk job but still feel very flexible and fit for life.

Good Stretch
Despite it's age this is the best guide to stretching I have read. The book is informative and gives practical help in toning muscles by stretching them on a regular basis. The exercises are simple and done regularly keep my aged body feeling much better than my arthritis would normally allow.
