My eyes are kind of impaired, and one thing I need is to be able to adjust the brightness of light on the fly -- e.g., riding my bike, when I go from shade into sun, I flip down my clop-ons; when I ride back into shade, I flip them up. It's very easy and serves a vital purpose -- to be able to see where I'm going. These flip-ons are a great compromise between durability and useability. They will scratch or even break after a while of use, but I find they last most of a year before succumbing. The color is more of a choice -- I have these, rather dark, clip-ons that are good for sunny days in snowy landscapes. For less bright light, I prefer a bronze color lens.

My 13 yr old son wears glasses these are perfect for him. They are inexpensive so replacing them is alot easier then replacing prescription sunglasses.

This was a gift for a very good friend of mine. She absolutely loves the fact that they flip up and the darkness level is exactly what she wanted.
