Great film, improved quality but still not completely uncut
As an 80s martial arts movie fan this one is up there as one of my childhood faves. Yes the storyline is a bit weak and rushed but it’s the fighting, weapons and the wonders and mystery of ninja we all like..Ok some observations of this blu-ray.. I originally had this film on vhs and it was always obvious a lot of the fight scenes were cut. This version reinstates a lot of missing scenes, however there are some small sections cut which were originally on the vhs version such as when young Takeshi is hit in the face by Limehouse as his brother is kidnapped. The scene where he falls on the floor with blood on his face is missing. Ok no big problems with that but then you still see him back at his parent’s place with blood on his face..Also when Akira unfolds and throws that huge shuriken and pins the main boss to the door you don’t hear his neck crack when he dies. There is a more complete version of this film on Youtube which shows Aiko being raped and murdered whilst in hospital. Not that I miss that sort of thing but it was originally in the film and obviously there is a fuller version available somewhere..Overall this version has a better picture quality than that of the vhs and I would still recommend it.Nick

Fun.
I have the 101 DVD release ... the picture is excellent imo.Did anybody ever take these films serious? It's ridiculous from a-z, but we'll not see the likes again and while I personally prefer the 70s for foo and the like, this is a wonderfully entertaining flick thats a cool add for those who have the taste.I'd be happy to rewatch this one again at some point.Viva Sho Kosugi.I'd rate this an 8/10

Limehouse Willie in HD!
The movie itself is about 3 out of 5 but the picture quality is much better. I remember seeing this as a VHS at the local rental store in southern Sweden where I used to live. At the time I was afraid to watch it because it looked scary (I was about 9 years old) but now i'm happy to find it as a blu-ray. The Cult Movie Collection is just pure awesomeness for us cult action fans. Great stuff!

Pray for Death
One of the best ninja films I have ever seen, Sho Kosugi is brilliant as the family man who has to return to his samarai ways to protect and get revenge for his family. Highly recommended. A must watch for any ninja fans.
