Q: Can the builder gel be used over press on nails to keep them from breaking so easily, since press on nails are thin?

I would use the builder gel to adhere the press-on nail. This has worked for me in the past.

Q: Can I use this with just an led lamp?

Yes,You need An UV/LED lamp for it to cure.

Q: Do you need to add base coat first? Then use the builder gel?

I believe the builder gel can also be used as a base coat which is what they mean by it being a “7-in-1” to say it can be used as a base coat, as a builder gel, as a top coat, and whatever else. You wouldn’t use a base coat before using an another base coat, so I assume you wouldn’t need to here. BUT personally I really like how helpful base coats seem to be in holding my nails in place for much longer than without… so I’d still either use a base coat, or apply one thin layer of this builder gel and do the same 30sec cure you would for a base coat, and then use the builder as the builder.

Q: are the nail tips sturdy?

YES. With proper prep (all 800 steps you’d normally do with builder or any other extensions) it’ll probably last weeks. That said, I don’t usually use it directly on my nails AS extensions. I apply the clear one OVER full cover nails for encapsulating glitter ‘n stuff, and it’s basically permanent that way. Works great.
