Invest in a pair!
These are the nicest boots I've ever worn and I've worn a few! These boots are ridiculously comfortable yet remain functional and waterproof. This means that they are ideal for the upcoming winter months as they are warm and provide great traction. Furthermore there aren't many boots out there that look as good as these do. Timberland has never let me down in any of my purchases and I love the brand itself. You really do get what you pay for and it may seem like its a lot of money but Timberland boots are so resilient in terms of wear and tear, they will easy outlast a cheaper alternative so you're probably saving money just through the investment and not having to replace boots. Even with that said the look of the boots is fantastic and better than the alternatives regardless, even those that are actually more expensive.

Great boots....love em.
I bought these on a whim and I've had hit and miss boot/shoe purchases on amazon before and you never quite know what actual colour the boot will be till you open the box.I'm glad I did they look great, the colour was great and they are super comfortable with the good insole provided. They are not slip on boots you have to undo the laces loose to get the foot in and at the beginning the leather tongue did chaff a little as it doubles back for the waterproofing, but I found using all the lace holes and not doing them up crazy tight stopped any irritation immediately. I got these super cheap compared to westfield london timberland shop and am almost tempted to buy another pair at this price and leave them in the back of the wardrobe for a rainy day. I'm a bog standard UK size 9 with an average width foot and they fit perfectly with a normal sock. They would scratch and mark up easily given rough treatment but I think that would come out with the timberland wax.

How to care for your new boots!
I needed a pair of boots which I could use for walking in the Lake District. These boots are intended for light walks but I found they fared EXTREMELY well in the boggy terrain and puddles through the fells! They're great since they're stylish enough to wear out and about too!If you plan on walking through wet / muddy terrain please take care of your boots. Here's a brief guide:1) Unlace the shoe2) Apply a light coating of wax with a sponge to the entire boot, the boot must been clean AND dry before waxing! I prefer Altberg Leder-Gris Waterproof Boot Wax / Oil For Leather Boots 80g Tin (Clear)3) Leave the wax to work its way into the leather for several hours4) Keeping dirt off your boots substantially increases the boots lifetime, after each walk, unlace the shoe and clean off all the dirt with a damp rag (Do not use a soaking wet rag! Ring out most the water before cleaning the boots!)- You should wax your boots once every two weeks if you are walking in wet terrain regularly, or once a month for light wear.- Never try to dry your boots quickly by a radiator / fire, this can crack the leather- Do not over wax your boots, it can reduce breath ability of the leatherOverall I loved wearing these boots, extremely comfortable and never got wet feet! They did however suffer minor scuffs when scrambling over rocks (When you re-wax the boots these scuffs disappear)

Great looking and very comfortable
I bought these for my boyfriend's birthday. He told me that he was a size 10 but when they went to a ridiculous amount, I checked to see if he could try a 10.5 instead. We decided to go with this option in the end, and he has told me that they fit fine. So far, they have been comfortable, with the soles looking as though they should last a long time. He has found that, because these boots are slightly higher up his ankle than his old pair, that they have rubbed just a tiny bit on his leg. With the leather being harder than his other pair, I am sure that this will ease once they have been broken in a bit more. Other than that, though, there are no problems with them.

If carlsberg did boots... Even they wouldn't be as good as these timberlands!
Simply the best boot ever, perfect fit, perfect quality, not too big or small, just perfect. So comfortable to walk in and keeps the rain out, can step in a deep puddle at least two inches high and feet stay perfectly dry! I'd expect to pay five times the cost of these beauties for a boot this quality, so I was shocked that the price was so low! Just an added bonus... These replace a pair of timberlands I've had for five years, and they take some beating, but these are just perfect. To sum up, the best boot you can buy, well worth the investment. Never go out of style, your feet always stay warm and dry and your wallet is happy too. Perfect

**3 years on** going strong
**3 years on**Pictures after 3 years of heavy use. Contrary to some of the negative reviews the sole on these has worn well considering I'm an active walker.I wouldn't consider these proper hiking boots - but they are comfortable up to about 15 miles on a range of terrain for me, and have not leaked water yet!The positives are they have worn well, still comfortable, still look pretty decent, even the laces are fine. The slight downside is the ankle area has become less stiff over time so they dont offer a lot of support - but if you did roll your ankle you could tie them up tight to get back to the car/train/home in a bit less comfort.*original review after 6 months*fits well, been wearing them a few times a week for 6 months now, looking good.nice that they are comfortable worn loose, or tight.would recommend.
