We got these lights at Christmas for my children’s rooms. Each on got a set for their tree and at first they worked. Then out of the blue they stopped working. I opened up the back to find the melted spot with the black burnt part. Like something inside exploded and melted that plastic. There are two strings on top of each other and now one of them is popped off where it melted. NOT SAFE! Do not buy!!!!

First of all the remote, which is attached to the wire just above the plug, does not turn the lights off. You actually have to unplug the lights to turn them off then plug them in again to turn them on. Also, the two prongs of the plug are not standard US plugs. They almost look homemade. They don't fit snuggly into a US socket and sit very loose. Even the slightest pressure on the cord causes the plug to slip out and turn the lights off. It's very cheaply made. I also took remote to mean separate from the cord but it's attached so you have to reach down to almost where the plug is and cycle through the options. The lights themselves seem fine, it's just everything else that's the problem. I mean a loose plug just doesn't feel safe.

I ordered two sets of purple (daughter/son). My daughter's lights never worked. My son's lights worked for a total of 2 minutes. They came on bright and very beautiful. Two minutes later, they gave out completely. I tried different sockets. Nothing. What a waste of money. I'm very disappointed.

I love the color, the clear is good on a colored tree, but they are a little disconcerting when pluggi g them in. The plug prongs themselves are just flat metal, so they slip n out of the socket easily no matter how wide you spread them. I bought these more expensive ones, thought they would be tougher . You choose. I would not leave them unattended.

The lights r magical on the tree. The set has several settings for blinking or just use in a regular mode. The only issue was a chemical smell. So carefully wiped them off with dawn. The aired them out for a day and they were Good

Not as bright as we thought they should be. Some of the strings didn't even last the Christmas season and had to be reordered and replaced on the tree. Burn out quickly and no way to change out bulbs.

really loved these, worried about the color at first, but they were perfect. Just wish they could stay at the selected setting after you turn them off.

Very faint purple, nearly just white. The plugs fit so loosely in the socket they constantly fall out. Will probably start a fire.
