Q: Is the hepa filter replaceable? if so, where can i get it from?

No they are not. I have contacted the company (VonHaus) who have stated that replacements are not available- this is despite fitting the same filters to newly made vacuums??

Q: Is it true that the UV light is "misapplied technology" as dyson have claimed?

I have not been studying microbiology, and can only offer an opinion based on the facts i know. At my house i am not connected to mains water, my water comes from a well in my garden and when i turn my taps on in the house the water is pumped up from the well and goes into a holding tank, were it is then pumped with great speed ( 19psi I think!!!! ) but in any case very fast from the holding tank through a tube with a UV light inside where all harmful bacteria is killed before it reaches my taps in the house. My point is this. This system we use to purify our water is instant and goes through the uv much quicker than you would be hovering your bed, and i would also like to point out that tradeing standards are there to make sure that information about a product that is given to the public is correct, and that you are protected from misapplied or misleading information. As for being safe of course it is in the small quantities being used. And to be honest i for one would be more interested to know the processes that are used to purify your drinking water and the chemicals they use, than worry about this product, if your an allergy sufferer then i would give it a try, Just my opinion.

its is very good on pet hair , just make sure that the hair is removed from the grippers at the front when using full item,as item does split into two, i have found item very good with all things from floors to beds .
