The bag is well made, it’s stylish too, but what bothers me is that there are no pockets or compartments inside (you get one small pocket). I also don’t like the shoulder strap. The strap is leather too, unfortunately it’s quite thin and it stretches. I find that I keep poking holes in the strap so I can shorten it. I’ve done it at least 4 times in the past several months. I would recommend reinforcing the leather strap with some sort of fabric or making it from a different, non-stretchable material.

Bag is not for indoors. The smell didn't disappate at all. Had the bag for over 3 years. Throw it on the back of a motorcycle or horse 🐎. Thin leather.

I was super curious about this bag when I saw it, so I wanted to leave a detailed review for anyone on the fence.Two things upfront:1) Yes, you'll need to wash it with Dove or saddle soap as soon as you get it and then add a leather conditioner. It is covered in vegetable oil for the trip from India, which is fine for keeping the leather soft, but not what you want long term.2) The color matching isn't perfect, you may want to order a couple and keep the best matched one.Other thoughts: First off, the bag looks great. The green canvas lining looks so nice against the brown. The bag is big, 19" L x 10.5" W x 10.5" H, front pocket adds another 1". Construction is way sturdier than I expected (sturdy stitches, solid brass rivets, sturdy brass hardware) with the exception of the main zipper. The zipper is made with cheap plastic teeth, and I'm guessing it will break long before the rest of the bag gets torn. Not sure it's a big issue, since the bag has the lid as well. There are no protective rivets on the bottom of the bag, so you would want to be careful not to set it on the ground.Final thoughts: I am looking for an overnight bag that will fit under an airplane seat, this may be just slightly too big. I'm divided on keeping bag, on one hand I love the look, on the other it's not what I need and it has those concerns mentioned above. If I do keep it, I'll update this post with how it wears over time.

First, I have to say the leather is pretty amazing. It has a smell, but you get used to it and it will go away. It doesn't need to be conditioned put of the box. However, I loaded this up for a 3 day trip, and used the shoulder strap to lift it up, and the hardware broke which made the strap useless.I still used it for my trip, without the strap, then returned it. Too bad because for the price, it's a nice duffle. Don't trust the same thing wouldn't just happen again if I reordered.

I've been putting off getting a new bag for months after my only duffle (Coach) was damaged. This one instantly caught my eyes. It looks exactly like it does in the Amazon pic gallery Can wait to use it for this Christmas 2021 get away!

Love the size, love the leather. I sis not want a liner because they tear after awhile. I sprinkled essential oil on a cotton ball and dropped it inside. Did it every day for one week and it doesn’t smell any longer! I bought this and a 23” duffle. The compact trolley I have fits nicely into either bag.
