I used this on my Ford 390 and it worked excellent. The only thing that I would change would be having the ability to pull the knob off of the long end and put it on the short end in case you needed to just use the small section. I just found a chunk of steel and threaded it so that I could screw it into the short end to protect the threads. Take your time and have someone help you. It's a lot easier to have a spotter when you're doing cam bearings. This driver did not deform or damage my bearings in any way. For the price, I definitely recommend this unit!!

This worked great…..over half the price of the identical Lisle unit…..BUT…..I had to grind down the lip on one of the collars as it was too big to fit through a small block Ford cam journal…..you can install the cam bearings with no modification but you will not be able to remove them……For the money….I still recommend with four stars…..

This isn't the big name quality but was 60 bucks.... I used it to install cam bearings in a 4cyl gm inboard. Rubbers are a little softer than what I had used in the past.... 25 yrs ago. I bought because I didn't want to wait 3 weeks for machine shop to fit me in. I gave 4 stars, works good just soft bands. Take your time and triple check bearing orientation to oil galley.

It has the ability to slip inside of the new bearings and wipe out the babbitt.

So, I looked at all the reviews before buying this to tool and there were a lot of bad ones. For the price I decided to try it anyways. IT WORKED GREAT! I don’t know why people are having issues. Take your time. I would definitely buy again! This is the first review I have ever left on Amazon. I felt I needed to. I think the others are definitely operator error, and this was not a hard tool to use. I just YouTubed it. First time changing cam bearings.
