I know for a fact I have urine stains and I was super excited to receive this. I fully expected my rug to light up like a Christmas tree but instead it only lit up the white items on my carpet. I even tried it on a fresh puddle of urine (from my dog) and it did nothing.

Great for floors and furniture…not great if you have white carpet for furniture…it’ll all glow

The brightness and larger beam area make this an awesome pet urine detector. I found a small spot my old light had not detected.

Bought this because my son's puppy used our area rug as a pee pad. When I finally put the new batteries in, the light would not go on. I took it apart and noticed that the connector wasn't touching the the metal to activate it. No idea what it's called.. LOL so I had to fuss with it to get it to work. A total pain in the ass.

For the money, this is the best purchase out there. It works better than I thought it would. If you own a house pet, you should have one. They will always leave something behind. I have a good sense of smell, and this light found it within 5 seconds of inspecting the room. I will buy these as gifts for family members with pets, just to see the looks on their faces.

My cat had been peeing in different places & I KNEW that for a fact. The light didn’t work on any of the spots except for once. Disappointing.
