Let me preface this by saying I've not had much experience with sunglasses throughout my life. I always had to wear Rx lenses and never splurged to get Rx sunglasses. I got LASIK earlier this year and splurged on a pair of Oakley Prism Polarized sunglasses. I already knew I wanted polarized lenses and knew there was a big difference between non-polarized and polarized. Thing is...my Oakleys are kind of bulky and pretty cumbersome when taking them off when I go indoors and plan to leave soon after. My case is even bigger. So I took a shot and ordered these for their compactness and being less than half the cost of my Oakleys.I couldn't believe these things were so comparable to my Oakleys. Aside from a slight color difference when viewing through the lenses, the polarization effect was just as good. These are comfortable to wear for long periods and I honestly can't say that, while wearing them, I missed my Oakleys. They even fit my big head! I had to get the "XL" version of the Oakleys I wanted because the regular version was too tight on my head. So if you've got a bigger head, no worries with these!Functionally, these things are amazing. They fold away super easy and I can keep them in my pocket when not needed. They don't feel like they're super cheap, but I can tell they aren't premium name brand glasses. If they're your style, they would be an absolute win. For me, I prefer the frames just a little more squared and the lenses mirrored ( I don't like the blue mirror option they currently offer). These are the perfect happy medium between affordable and functional. Otherwise, these will probably be my go to glasses for outings that I know will spill into the night or traveling so I don't worry about possibly breaking or losing my Oakleys.
