Got this for my dog Max about 2 months ago now. Max is a 28lb Boston terrier, pitbull, pug mystery mix with an extreme love for tug and ripping toys to shreds. He plays very rough and most “plushy” toys don’t stand a chance and end up in a pile of fluff across the carpet within minutes. Even most “bully breed” toys we buy him - he manages to destroy rather quickly. The sting Ray is pleasantly & surprisingly super reinforced and has 2 handle slots for tug and a squeaker in the body. He did kill the squeaker one month in (our ears are grateful) but it still has a crinkle filled tail going strong that’s an interesting texture and makes sound, and the body is perfect size and dense/ chewy so he has lost no interest in it whatsoever. We have used it on a very literal daily basis with rough play and it’s looking great with only minor signs of dog slobber wear and tear. Since it’s a disc and the size of a moderate tortilla, throwing it is easiest when it’s like a frisbee, horizontally or vertically like a ninja star. It is flexible though so was great to pack on a trip we took, and I don’t feel risky throwing indoors. It has gotten dirty, but it is fabric and seems to be washable. TBD, but would avoid machine washing unless your squeaker is already toast too. Based on this, I think it would hold up well with most larger breeds as well.10/10 he loves it and will repurchase from this brand.

This is the second tug of war octopus we have ordered and the first one lasted many months with a very energetic chewer. He is a Brittany and loves to play. The original is just now showing signs of wear with some puncture holes in one of the "legs"...the squeaker has gotten weak but those "legs" and the stretchiness are still going strong. We do not allow the dog to play alone with the toy as I think then it would be ruined due to excessive shewing. Excellent and durable for tug of war play!

Lasted longer than some. My 9mo is a destroyer or toys… did not last long.

I for the durability and its performance has outweighed any other dog toy I have bought we play every night for over two hours and it’s still looks like new!!!!

The legs were ripped off literally within minutes as well as the insides. I have 2 huskies so not a toy to get that breed!

This toy is a beast. I have a 10 lb yorkie who plays so hard & destroys toys. This toy is too big for a small dog like her so I recommend this for larger dogs. My dog, however, is a behemoth and she still carries this bad boy around like it's nobody's business.

Purchased 11/28/23, sent to dog toy heaven 2/19/24. Tugged, chewed, and fought over daily, Hank succumbed to injuries received during a particularly robust play session. He couldn’t withstand the daily gnawing, chomping, and onslaught of puppy teeth. He was brought down by 3 month old Kyra and 9 month old Freya. He will be missed.

My small dog has play dates with a medium dog. Both like to play tug of war, but the medium dog has the size advantage and would fling my small dog around until I found this toy. The medium dog still wins every match, but the shock of head shakes are absorbed by the toy’s bungee arms instead of my small dog’s neck. Their matches are more fun and much, much safer.

As described. Durable. My big dogs love it. Very happy with my purchase.

Ok so we bought one of the same previous to this, the toy does last and she loves them but there is no stuffing left just material and she drags it around with her. Its still good just no stuffing Its a great quality toy well made

Extremely durable. After four years I finally had to buy a new one. She carries it around with her everywhere and they play tug-o-war allllllllll day with it. Highly recommend.

Didn't last long - only one day before an arm ripped off. Gave 2 stars rather than 1 because there is no stuffing inside for him to eat or scatter around house.

The product itself is cute and seems good quality. But I was very disappointed when I opened my package and there was a sewing needle hanging from one leg. I punctured my finger reaching into the delivery package. Unacceptable!!!
