Used as soon as they arrived. Had a strange, almost chemical taste and smell. Bitter and sour, which I believe can be a sign they've gone bad.

I love poppy seeds and use them for baking bagels, cooking muffins, cakes and dressing my salads. These seeds are typically poppy seeds and the taste is really good. The package has a seal to keep the seeds fresh and moister-free. the price of this 8 oz bulk package is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I received widely open. I tried it was extremely bitter not sure what it is but it’s not poppy seeds at least not for cooking/eating
