I needed another flat head pliers for opening and closing 6 mm stainless steel jump rings. The flat plier area is approximately 2/3 of my other flat head pliers. I can still get the job done, but I have lots of slipping, unless I'm very precise about how I cover the ring with the flat head. The jaws seem aligned well and it's comfortable to hold, but had I realized how much smaller the jaws are - I would have chosen a different pliers to buy.

Love the way they feel

I am beginning to get repetative hand fatigue after making jewelry for many years. When I saw these pliers, I decided to give them a try. I think that someone with larger hands may find them uncomfortable to use, but these pliers fit my hand perfectly. I love the ergonomic handles. No more hand cramps! I also love the flat nose tip. This is my first pair of this type and I quickly discovered how useful they are. They work great for finishing off wire-wrapped pieces and getting the cut edge flattened and smooth. I also use them for opening and closing jump rings. The extra flat surface holds the rings perfectly and keeps them from bending out of shape. Great product! I don't know how I lived without them for so long! Recommended!

I had a pair of similar pliers that I wore out so can't wait to get back at my jewelry making with these.
