Germicidal UV Sanitizer Light Bulb 25 W 185nm/254nm with Ozone E26/E27 Socket

You guys... You guys.... I've been staying at this hotel (Extended Stay America for the record, who did nothing) where the room smelled like B.O. I don't mean a slight B.O. I don't mean that B.O. that you can kind of smell when the air hits your nose just right. I mean the kind of B.O. that feels like someone punched you in the septum. The kind of B.O. that reminds you that you're never going to bring anybody back to this hotel room no matter how well things go that night. I played foodball for years. I'm used to sweaty locker room smell. This smell takes. The. Cake. On top of that, the toilet was clogged when I moved in. So my initial poop/pee sat in the toilet for 3 days because the Extended Stay America wouldn't send someone with a plunger. But I digress.It stunk. Bad.So I bought an ozone machine. Amazon said it would be here in a week. That was a long time, but it was better than nothing.... That order now says 4 weeks. So I bought this bulb as a backup. This cheap, crappy little bulb. I planned to leave it running all day while I was at work, in hopes that it would do soooomething. Just help a little bit. Maybe. Even a placebo effect would suffice.Well, I decided to test it out to see if it actually produced ozone. I'm familiar with the smell of ozone, so I would only have to turn it on for a few minutes to see if it at least did that for me.It ran for about 10 minutes. The ozone was immediately apparent. This room is about 14'x14', with an 8'x8' section on the side, and an 8x6 bathroom. Well I tell you. I came back after letting the ozone air out with the windows open and exhaust fan on, and the smell was GONE. Not mostly gone. Not "Well I'll have to run it again tomorrow"..... GONE. I can take a big whiff right now and the only scent of B.O. I get is from this overworked little coin purse that I brought with me, that wasn't in the room when the ozone/light were working their magic.This thing works. How long will itwork? who knows. But it did what it needed to do in 10 minutes. And for the $20.56 that they sell this for, I would buy it if it were a one time use.I wrote this comment because the other reviews seemed pretty bland and bot-ish. That made me almost not buy the product. I hope I can inspire you into comfort in your purchase.That being said, don't look into the pretty blue light, and don't breathe in the clean-smelling ozone. The ozone layer is not your friend ad close distances. Don't spend any more time around this thing than you have to while it's working. I'd even label it as dangerous in an obvious way to keep the ignorant at bay.Have a great day. I know I will.

This is the real deal so be careful. This will strip that skank stank right out of the room, or fridge, or rv, boat. WORKS GREAT!I'll be ordering more soon.

Purchased half a dozen so far, one bulb fell out of base, another burnt out after about 50 hrs of on time total.Other bulbs work great. This one has OZONE which DOUBLES the hazards of uv-c lights.Be sure to wear eye protection, & keep animals, HUMANS, & Plants AWAY!! It causes CANCER if improperly used!

This ozone light did what I hoped it would, eliminate smells. I had a water leak and there was a musty smell and I occasionally smoke inside, it got rid of the odor. Sturdier than the others that were reviewed. One of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made.

Bulb worked . But only lasted a short time. I Had it on a timer in country cottage while we were gone.It was on a total of30 hours 6 hrs /24 . It lasted one week. Then burned out. Don't know if it was a fault of bulb or me. I will try one more then no more it should last much much longer . First one is on me.It did make cottage smell good and killed insects noted a spider or two dead on floor. Did not yse around animals or humans .

The bulb seemed to work and produce a lot of ozone smell, but the glass tubes disconnected from the base after a few days of use (on their own without being moved or bumped or loosened in any way). It seems the adhesive used to connect the two was brittle so it just naturally separated from gravity (light socket was a ceiling mount with the bulb hanging down). This made the bulb unsafe to continue using due to the exposure to live electricity under the bulb. Awfully poorly made for an expensive item.

This bulb does two important things. It kills microbes and spores but it also creates ozone which freshens rooms. Since it screws into a light fixture, it can be put in most any light socket. Of course all safety precautions need to be taken. Never look at the bulb. Handle it with gloves and let it cool before removing it. Keep the room sealed, like closing the door and windows, and remove pets, people, and plants from the room. Let the room air out after use and after the bulb has been turned off for an hour. Don't touch the glass with your fingers. Use a cotton ball dipped in alcohol to clean it. Handled with care, this bulb will last a long time.

Bulb arrived quick and it worked as it should out of the shipping container. This bulb generates an ample supply of ozone as well a UVC. I checked the UVC with a dose card and it is good, medium on intensity. And while I do not have a dose card for the ozone, the smell is intense after five minutes. It saturated shoes and masks with an intense smell. A word of caution use this lamp with care do not look at it while it is on and allow the area to ventilate to reduce the concentration of ozone before you revisit the area. I have no idea how long the lamp will function, but works great. I would buy this lamp again.
