Perfect solution if you don’t want to drill in to your kayak. I can also move it’s position or move to another kayak. The holder is well made and sturdy.

It's like having an extra set of hands! It clamps down nice and tight and has an extra sprocket on the front of the clamp if you need to move the clamping location ( you can see this in the first picture)I just clamped it on the back of my truck for a demonstration, but this will work just as well on any dock or Pier, or the side of your Jon boat or kayak.The rod shown in the picture is about six foot six in length, and has a 3500 series reel on it.I gave it four out of five stars because the top sprocket on the clamp I got was not splined all the way through and I had to work to get the clamp to set right there.

This boat rod holder is very sturdy and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It can be attached to a boat for some simple trolling however, you can also rig it to hold onto a railing while, for example, at the pier. The holder is made of thick, tough plastic and can be set at different angles and locked in place using a knob to tighten everything.

Very well made. I'll definitely be using when I go out in the boat. Mounts to the side of the aluminum Jon Boat perfectly. I'm also going to use it any time I fish from a dock or pier. Clamps down tight to anything that fits in it.

 I like that it can move 360 so you have alot of options for fishing position. I like that the quick release is quick and smooth. I like that it fits my thick fishing pole. I like that it is not complex and super easy to clamp down. I bought this for when I go fishing at this dock that has a rail.

I was really surprised at the quality of these fishing rod holders. They seem sturdy and made well enough. My husband put on the boat as soon as we received them.
