Doesn't contain 100 corks
I ordered these for a craft project I was doing with a group of 12 people who needed 25 corks each for a total of 300 corks, not wanting a large number of leftover corks, I ordered 3 packages of 100 corks. However, upon opening the packages, there were only 97 corks in each package, leaving me short 9 corks a few days before the craft program. No where in the description did I read approximately 100 corks and it seems strange that each one had only 97, not a few bags with more than 100 corks and a few with less. I was hopeful after the first bag of 97 that maybe the next bag had more than 100 to make up the difference, but I found that not to be true. If you need an exact amount of corks, don't count on these! Too bad Amazon makes it difficult to contact sellers, I would like to let them know that what they are selling is falsely advertised.

Good Choice for the Money
I'm a fairly new wine maker and bought these to use for a new batch of wine I was making. The first set of corks I bought were number eights. Because I have been cleaning and re-using old bottles, I found that when I used number eights I would not always get a nice tight fit. It appeared that there was a slight variation in the size of the neck of the bottles. When I needed more I switched to these number nines which are slightly larger. They are a little harder to get into your bottle. I would recommend to at least have a two lever manual corker if you want to use these corks - not a plunger type. For me, these were a great improvement. I got a much tighter fit even though I used all different types and shapes of bottles. They made it a little harder to cork using a two lever manual corker but nothing that noticeable. The corks are a decent quality for the money and you get enough to last for about 5 cases worth of wine. After having these corks in wine that sat for a while, I found that they also held up over time. When de-corking, they were easy to get out and did not crumble like some other cheaper brands of corks I had bought in the past. I will definitely be buying this size and brand of corks again.

This order does not seat
Just used last 19 of previous identical order with total satisfaction. However, of first 17 of this this latest order 7 did not seat properly leaving roughly 1/4" of cork still protruding from bottle. These are a darker shade than the previous that I had 100% success with.As mentioned, these properly seated in only 59% of assorted bottles today. Had to pull the corks, turn around and reinsert to get them to finally seat properly.Pretty certain that this JUNK was a reorder but previous orders were different package. Now to order 9 x 1 3/4 that are packaged by LD Carlson NOT something in an unlabeled bag.UPDATE: Yes this was a re-oder from same supplier. 1st order was packaged with Carlson name. This LAST order was an unmarked package. 40% of these corks did not seat at bottle top but rather 1/8" to 1/4" above. If I stored in a rack would probably be OK but I had to locate taller boxes to store.

Well worth the price!
I have been buying these corks for years for bottling wine that we make, but never really appreciated how good they are until I bought some cheaper ones (trying to save a few dollars). With the cheaper ones we had bottles of wine that leaked. Have never had that problem with these corks. They are good quality and seal well.

Shop Then Stop Right Here.
These # 9 corks worked fine strait out of the bag and into my floor corker. I’m reusing wine bottles having no issues with insertion or removal. Personally at 12 cents a piece I couldn’t care less about counting them,...I do care that an integral part of my production process works very well consistently so I’ll be staying with these beauties.

Strictly use these for our wine.
Have used these on 5 separate occasions to bottle homemade wine. The 15/16 seem to stay so much better than the 7/8. Had issues with locally bought 7/8 popping off and before trying the plastic sealer we used these and haven’t looked back. I highly recommend using these. Please note: if you have a significant number of smaller necked bottles (some champagne, etc) these may not fit well. We use wine bottles only so I haven’t found but maybe 2 or 3 bottles tag didn’t take this size cork well.

Wine corks excellent value
These worked great for my wine making project. i have a tone extra lol. Tip: you do wanna biol them in hot water for 5 monitues to kill any bactieria before corking your wine and it helps them to seal your bottles. great value for the product

saves you money
this was a wonderful find. I make about 100 gallons of wine per year. the greatest expense, other than the fruit is the bottles and corks. finding corks for a reasonable price is a great thing for me.thanks for being there:Papa Tracy
