Bought this for my father to join my partner & myself on rides, we have the Fodsports V8 and for relatively the same price I thought I'd go for the newer model of the two even though we have been extremely happy with our V8 models.The scrolling wheel for volume control and less buttons looked like a much better model for my father as the V8 with multiple same sized buttons can take a few seconds to work out.Overall the unit seems high quality and looks much nicer than the V8, drivers (speakers) seem better too.The bracket to fasten the unit to your helmet is much easier to install.Downsides are that this unit is a two piece and is not as rugged as the V8's & can be quite fiddly to get it to sit correctly making good contact to the base.Where as the V8's just have a simple plug.Overal I would recommend these for anyone not wanting to pay Cardo or Sena prices. However depending what riding you do (more rough riding) and if you'd want to remove the unit alot or swapping between helmets i'd recommend the V8's over the Fx8. Though if you just do commuting or road riding with one helmet and want easier controls I'd say go for the FX8.

Excellent intercom system, uncomplicated and easy to connect to other systems. FM radio doesnt work very well but that doesn't bother me. The connection range often exceeds the 1000ms quoted, Highly recommended excellent value

Quite good product for reliable price. It is pity that react with Siri and not the same with Android system.

There is no Active CVC Noise Cancellation. At speeds greater than 60kph wind noise through the speakers is clearly noticeable and at 50mph (80kph) music is unintelligible and the sheer noise is a danger to your hearing. I have Bose noise cancelling ear buds (2.5x the price) and the FX8 doesn't even come close to the Bose (near absolute silence and clear music). The FX8 is a fairly good system on a scooter around town, but it does not have proper noise cancellation technology and is unsuitable on a motorbike.

Easy to install, very good sound quality, noise cancellation system is working up to 40mph perfectly. Good deal.

after 7 months of use the left speaker is not working and right one is about to damage not worth at all
