If you bake then you know how difficult it has been to find flour this year. Amazon sold out in no time, and when they got it back it was only in large bags. My husband initially refused to buy 25 or 50lb. bags, but after I ordered some by mail at enormous cost (at is not cheap to ship 50 lbs of flour to Hawaii) hr broke down and get me a 50 lb bag. It took near every container in the house to put it away. I did order a 25 lb. bag of rye flour from Amazon because that is absolutely impossible to get in Hawaii. I knew there were no containers left, and with our humidity, airtight is imperative. Most of my bread flour has been kept in Snapware, so I know it works well for flour. It was still a challenge finding reasonably priced container to store large quantities. I purchased 2 of these containers, ordered to arrive not long after the flour. All but 4 cups fit in 2 of these containers, which means it can hold 11-12 lbs.It is not as convenient as their flour container, which I would recommend if you can get one. It is well designed with both large and small flap lids, and is designed so you can level a cup. I has been sold out every time I looked for it while here. It only holds 3-4 lbs./ of flour so if you buy 25 or 50 lb bags you'll need something else to store it in. 2 of these + a flour container store a 25 lb bag, and the stack neatly.

I own both the 40-cup and the 29-cup, which I use to hold cat litter. I really wanted a sturdy container that I could trust to keep out bugs and such. I looked at a lot of pet food storage containers, but I really didn't like any of them. They were either cheaply made, with poor construction that couldn't handle daily use, ridiculously overpriced, or were space inefficient (such as a round shape). I use snapware for my own food storage, so this seemed like the perfect solution, and it's been working out great for me. My process is that I fill my containers with cat litter, then freeze them for 3 days before using to kill anything in the litter. I have to do one container at a time because my freezer is small, but this works well for me. I usually only add litter to my cat's box every 2 or 3 days (I scoop daily though) so I just don't add litter when transitioning from the end of one litter to the beginning of a new bag. I only use one bag of cat litter a month, so these 2 containers are enough for me. They also fit nicely under my sink. I also prefer having more smaller containers over one large container because these aren't too heavy for me to lift and maneuver. So if you too have not been satisfied with the pet containers, these are definitely a viable option.

My explanation for my headline is when I bought this product I didn't think there was anyway possible way it could fit an entire 10lb bag of ice in this container. Maybe 3/4 of the bag at most. When I opened the bag and poured the ice into the container I was so happy all of the ice fit and i was able to close the snap lid. I am using the snap container to free up space in my deep freezer so I am not keeping a big 10lb bag of ice in it taking up usable space. This container works PERFECTLY! As i said before I went in thinking I would not be able to fit the entire 10lb bag of ice in the container and it did. The cosmos and galaxy aligned for me on this purchase :-)

Positives:- I purchased four 40-cup containers for the purpose of storing a 50 lb bag of flour. The entire bag of flour fit in the four containers, so they achieved their purpose.- The snap lids work. I am hopeful that they will maintain an airtight seal. So far, they are tightly sealed.- The containers are made in the USA! Woohoo!- The lid stayed snapped in place when I lifted the filled 12.5 lb container with the handle. Honestly, I was concerned that the lid would separate from the bottom and flour would go everywhere. I will probably lift them from the sides in the future...why tempt fate?-They stack nicely. My only negative observation:- They have an unpleasant plastic odor when they are first opened. I washed them thoroughly with dishwashing soap and the odor abated. There was no unpleasant smell before they were filled with flour.

We had previously purchased two of these that we use to hold cereal and rice, for which they do a great job. This one is used to hold excess cat food that seems to keep the food fresher than those resealable bags they come in. These containers, though a little pricey, are airtight, sturdy and have held up well over time. The container can hold a 15-pound bag of rice, which makes it quite heavy so we always support the handle by holding the bottom of the container. We'd buy another if we have need for airtight storage again.

We wash all our groceries before they come in the house and because sugar bags are paper, I was looking for a container that I could just dump my sugar in and throw the bag away. This container is huge and would hold about 10lbs of sugar easily. The snap on sides feel very strong and keep everything inside dry. You know the sides are connected when you close the container because you hear a resounding click sound. It's easy to open and easy to close. It's opaque but clear enough that you can tell what's inside. I love that it's got a handle that doesn't stick out and get in the way. It appears to be well attached and strong but I've never used it to carry the container, but that's just me.

Muy bien el recipiente, lo utilizo para guardar panes, cuando voy a la panadería llevo mi recipiente y caben perfecto los panes, es una buena alternativa para no usar bolsas desechables ni bolsas de papel.

Me sirve para sustituír las bolsas de plástico o papel de un solo uso que entregan o entregaban en las panaderías por su amplio espacio, sello hermético y asa.

Lo he comprado para almacenar harina, todo bien al momento. Llegó en la caja propia del contenedor, todo bien.

I bought 2 to try out storing my raw dog food in the chest freezer and they are fantastic. I need 6-8 and they passed the test with flying colours so I'm going to order the other 6 I need. I highly recommend them.
