After reading this book, the reader is left with a strong understanding of what they are doing and why they are doing it. There is a reason this book sold out the same day it was released!It is not often (if ever) that I know an author personally. Having attended Clair’s training and having spent many hours under her supervision, I am continuously blown away by the breadth of her knowledge. She is truly one of the Play Therapy greats. Clair Mellenthin has written an instant classic which is sure to be referenced and revered for years to come.

This book is AMAZING!It’s great for new therapists who are learning about attachment (will recommend to my supervisees) and a great review for seasoned therapists. LOVE and appreciate the chapter on the impact of separation, thank you for talking and addressing this topic. I personally work with this population and know and see the effects of this rupture. This book talks about attachment, interventions (ideas), case studies, and the importance of family inclusion in the playroom.
