Much more durable than other merino socks but they don't really repel odor.
So when I compare these to nylon or cotton socks, they get five stars. But when I compare them to other merino wool Icebreaker or SmartWool socks, they get three.On the positive side, I think they will last longer. They have a really high nylon content. Like over 50%. Let that sink in. They have a wool content of 40%, per their website. So don't think of these as wool socks with nylon, think of them as nylon socks with wool.This points to the downside when comparing them to other wool socks with a higher merino percentage. Icebreaker and SW make some socks with 100% wool. They are sometimes as low as 80%. They do wear out after a while. They can develop holes. But they resist odor so much more. I can wear IB or SW socks three or even five times before they get the slightest bit "whiffy." Not so the Darn Tough socks. I usually only get one day before they start to get kinda funky. These are in the rotation but they just don't feel as much a value as the higher percentage merino wool socks.

Best socks you can get on planet Earth
These are the best socks I've ever worn. They're super comfy. They keep your feet warm on cool days, and keep your feet cool on warm days. They're made in the USA, ethically. They have a lifetime warranty! You could theoretically buy one or two pair of these socks and continue wearing the same one or two pair for life, because if they ever fail, they will be replaced, free of charge.I had been sticking with 100% fair trade organic cotton socks before. They were nice, but these are about as close to perfection, in sock form, as humanity can achieve. They are great to wear with everything, and I have purchased them in various lengths, various thicknesses, and various patterns. My only complaint is that the womens socks get flashier colors/patterns, and my feet are too big for the womens sizes.
